Le maquillage cinéma consiste à donner vie à un personnage et à soutenir tout ce qui l’entoure : l’histoire, l’émotion, la direction artistique et les détails techniques qui rendent l’image finale crédible.
J’aime faire partie de ce travail que le public ne verra parfois que quelques minutes à l’écran : lire le scénario, comprendre l’époque, le style, les blessures et leur continuité, les émotions et l’évolution du personnage, afin de créer une cohérence crédible d’une scène à l’autre.
Sur le plateau, j’accorde une grande importance à la continuité, à l’hygiène, à l’adaptabilité et au confort des comédiens. Le passage en loge doit aussi être un espace de confort pour l’acteur : un temps à lui, qu’il ait besoin de répéter, de rester dans son rôle ou simplement de déconnecter avant de retourner sur le plateau.
Mon objectif est de créer un maquillage crédible dans l’univers du scénario et aligné avec la vision du réalisateur et de la direction artistique, qu’il s’agisse d’une peau naturelle prête pour la caméra, d’un travail de personnage, de beauté ou d’effets plus spécifiques comme les blessures, la fatigue et les SFX.

For me, film makeup is about giving life to a character and supporting everything that exists around them: the story, the emotion, the visual direction, and the technical details that make the final image believable.
I love being part of the process behind what the audience will only see for a few minutes on screen: reading the script, analysing the period, style, injuries, emotions, and character evolution, then preparing continuity documents to make sure every detail stays coherent from one scene to another.
On set, I pay close attention to continuity, hygiene, adaptability, and the comfort of the actors. I believe the makeup chair should feel like a calm and caring moment before they step into character.
My goal is to create makeup that feels credible within the script and aligned with the director’s and art department’s vision, whether it is natural camera-ready skin, character work, beauty, injuries, fatigue, dirt, or SFX.
